The result is a very close race, and they will vote to stay in the EU. How can anybody seriously believe that government that has worked for this for decades will allow the rubes to vote it all away in an afternoon

This is theater. It lets people think they have a voice, and also lets the government have room for everything else they want to do...ie, “the people clearly voted to stay in the EU”.

^^^^ This Post sums it all up!

I simply don’t agree. I think that’s conspiracy theory in action, rather than reality.

As Mark Steyn often observed, large numbers of people in the Western World readily surrender their freedom at the drop of a hat.

If people in the UK don’t want freedom, that’s the general condition of mankind.

Freedom would be a surprising result.

Sorry KC, but I have more confidence in the UK voting system.
If a vote is ignored it will could a political retaliation of epic proportions.
The vote counting is done by hand ,using independent volunteers.
