I've been to Costa Rica at least a dozen times... in recent years they've been heading down the socialist path, and crime is up. The Zika virus isn't helping their tourism situation either.
Additionally, many of the American expats living there are leaving because of their agreement to hand over to the US their banking records.
The other thing that ticked me off was that they dropped Fox News right after Obama's visit there several years back.
