'This Is Not My Party': George Will Goes from GOP to Unaffiliated

Conservative columnist George Will told PJM he has officially left the Republican Party and urged conservatives not to support presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump even if it leads to a Democratic victory in the 2016 presidential election.

Will, who writes for the Washington Post, acknowledged it is a “little too late” for the Republican Party to find a replacement for Trump but had a message for Republican voters.

“Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House,” Will said during an interview after his speech at a Federalist Society luncheon.

Will said he changed his voter registration this month from Republican to “unaffiliated” in the state of Maryland.

“This is not my party,” Will said during his speech at the event.

Even if you don’t like Trump these idiots have to realize that if Clinton wins, thats it for the republican party. She will flood the country with as many democrat voters that it will be impossible for Republicans to ever win again.

...yes some Republican appointees to the SC have been terrible.... but more Democratic nominees at this time are GUARANTEED to be terrible...because in the past too many Republican senators have been wet noodles like Will - they roll over and play dead instead of fighting to confirm top flight conservative judges like Bork because the 'rats show determination to stop the confirmation. On the other hand whomever the 'rats nominate, no matter how obviously hard-line progressive they are, the Republicans try to show how open-minded and bipartisan they are by again - rolling over and playing dead.....

Yeah, I’ve been wondering when Colon Powell will come out for Hillary. It is inevitable, he is just waiting for what he thinks will be the best moment to try to damage Trump.

The real reason Will left is because he is auditioning for America’s Got Talent. No one has ever won the show with his act before: he can insert large rods of different lengths and widths up his backside with ease. He can even go on TV and pontificate for 45 minutes with the rods inserted. Been doing it for years.

What you are witnessing is a major political realignment in this country. It's not really R Vs. D any longer. It has become Globalist vs. Nationalist. The Clintons, Cruz's, Bush's, of this world are all Globalists. Trump and those like him are the Nationalists. The Republican Party is going to become the Nationalist Party while the Democrats are going to become the Globalist Party.

It's an amazing thing and amazing times we are living in to be able to witness all of this.

Yep. But the globalists are getting clever. I notice a couple of the “leave” leaders in Brexit are now barking about not limiting immigration. Over here you have Ted Cruz and his stealth support of TPA/TPP. The globalists are playing both sides of the globalist/nationalist aisles now. Be on the look out, IMO. Enemy inside the wire.

Yep, this is it. We at FR get it. It’s about nationalism vs globalism, because globalism is HURTING US BADLY. Right and left is only a rearrangement of the deck chairs. Globalism sinks the whole ship. We all die and the globalists cash the insurance.

Yes, George, we know.

We are those horrible peasants who don't know their place. We have let you guys play around with the system because you sounded smart and cultured. Even when we were not so sure that what you were selling us would work we decided to trust you.

That was a mistake on our part.

Not caring that your plans are not working is a mistake on yours.

You see, even if we drink sweet tea rather then whatever the cocktail of the month is, we are not stupid. Occasionally naive and trusting but not stupid.

And some of the bilge that is spilling out of the GOP leadership has made one thing very clear.

You don't like us.

Therefore anything you propose does not in anyway have our best interest at heart.

You care a great deal more about appearing sophisticated then what is best for the United States of America.

So, to put it in words you might have heard once upon a time: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

We, in our simple unsophisticated way, still believe in these words George. And right now we are doing it the easy and peaceful way.

Nonsense. I am voting for Trump but Cruz will be the stopper in the Senate when Trump starts making deals with Schumer and Pelosi. Count on it. Cruz will also make sure Trump doesnt make a deal with the Dems on the second amendment. Believe it.
