Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Tuesday he agrees that delegates to the Republican national convention should be free to vote their conscience, even if that means not supporting presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

Walker is a former presidential candidate and a delegate to the convention next month. He told reporters following a groundbreaking at a sausage factory that he will follow Wisconsin Republican Party rules and cast his ballot for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the first round because Cruz won the state primary.

Binding primaries have only been more than an oddity since the ‘60s - ‘70s.

Amazing to me how these guys talk “conscience” regarding the express will of the voters of the primaries but are woefully negligent when it comes to the conscience of Christian bakers and photographers and churches and voters of the states who have expressed their will when it comes to marriage.

All during the primary season we kept hearing about "rules". You know, the delegate steal happening before the people were told of it. Now, the "rules" no longer matter?

I am so sick of these "republicans" asserting their independence from their own "rules".

Not one of them seems to understand the concept of right vs. wrong - Trump gets that and I suspect that is why he has done so well in the primaries and the polls. That is still a virtue - unless you are a "politician" and therefore, "above that".

Exactly. Also, trying to pull any shenanigans against a Trump nomination at the convention will eliminate almost all republicans in congress. Only those are running unopposed would be able to survive.

That's true, but completely irrelevant.

rep·re·sent /ˌreprəˈzent/ verb

1. be entitled or appointed to act or speak for (someone), especially in an official capacity.

If your delegated representative strays from serving the appointing person or group of people, you are not being faithfully served. You are not being represented--they merely used your banner as cover for a personal agenda.

“I heard some gossip, that Trump is only going to allow Reince to speak at the Convention”..

Do you think for one minute that the rinos will follow the rules of the convention? NOT in a million years will they follow the rules they made themselves. I see blood on the convention floor is they attempt to dump the Donald.

“They simply want THE PEOPLE to decide.”.........

They can “want the people to decide” all the people want and it won’t change a thing. The rino bastards are NO BETTER than the demodummies when it comes to breaking their rules. Trump is in for a fight and ALL the people who support him need to get behind him by calling their representatives and advise them there will be hell to pay if they decide to screw up this election, one they can easily win if the play their cards right.

“The GOP needs to understand that it is in a fight for its continued existence. There’s no such thing as 2020 for them if Donald Trump loses. Guaranteed. This is it.”

That’s a fact.

The GOP base is leaving because the GOPe hijacked the party and turned it into an arm of the DNC. Now, their task accomplished, the GOPe are also leaving, and are now openly aligning with their chosen party (the Dims). Maybe, once the GOPe leave, the GOP base can reclaim the party. In any event, the GOP as it presently stands is history.
