A former adviser to Donald Trump floated Utah Rep. Mia Love on Friday as a possible pick for vice president on the real-estate mogul's ticket.
"If you were to name some people that nobody is talking about, to keep an eye on with the vice president [pick] … who would you say we should keep our eye on?" asked Brian Kilmeade, a Fox News Radio host.
The former adviser, Michael Caputo, prefaced his answer by saying he was "never in those discussions" because they were "above my pay grade."
That said, he provided a couple names.
"The two people I think you should look at - and these are unorthodox. First is Mia Love, the congresswoman, somebody who is an African-American leader with really bright ideas and an ability to communicate," Caputo said.
"Is there a relationship there?" Kilmeade asked.
"There is. People are looking at her. There is an incredible opportunity for the Republican Party," Caputo replied.

This is all a smokescreen. Trump is not gonna pick anyone on his so-called VP list. He put that out there so all the supposed and wannabe political pundits can knock themselves out with their speculations.

Agree. Contributed to her first campaign but didn’t take her long to side with the RINOs. Reminds me of several others who originally disguised themselves as Tea Party supporters.
She’d better start boning up for the inevitable pop quiz regarding the Bush Doctrine, as well as be ready to summarize the content of every news rag out there. Hope she has a lock on her trash can too.

On the other hand I don’t like the idea of Mia Love because she checks off both the black and female boxes. She’s served, what, one term, in Congress? She might be good in a couple of years but today she’d be there only for the demographics, not really to step in on a moment’s notice to be POTUS.
Yes and some of Tom Cottons positions are a little troubling also. I was so high on him for awhile.

I heard Mia speak during that convention also, and was as impressed as could be with her stand on things and overall intellect. She would be a positive as a running mate or stand on her own.
Love voted for Boehner as speaker in her first day in office. She endorsed Rubio for president and does not seem to want to deport anyone. And when push comes to shove, the fact is she is a Mormon and they have some bizarre beliefs and that just won’t help Trump with true Christians.

Endorse Cruz right before Utah primary.
