For evangelicals, the heart of Christianity is a faith-based dependence on God. They often contrast this with what they characterize as merely religion, which they view as more rules and rituals-based. I wonder how that slipped through the cracks?
Must be a closet Christian there.
Either that or it was an accident that they got something right for a change.

Must be an accident, they got that part right. Belief in GOD and JESUS, is not a religion of rules, except that which GOD and JESUS laid down. Anything else is church dogma. Didn’t Paul and Peter go over that part enough that even a simple ‘baby’ Christian can understand it? The simple do not be unevenly yoked statement seems to go over the heads of most.
