The Scots have something of a dilemma. A big argument against them leaving the UK is that they are subsidized to a tune of about 20 billion Pounds every year. They likely anticipate getting a similar subsidy from the EU, if they split and are adopted.

However, the UK had also been subsidizing the EU to the tune of about 20 billion Pounds every year, from which they got back about 10 billion. But the EU can now look forward to a revenue cut of about that amount, on top of their other problems.

So the EU may have a bit of a problem to be a cash cow to an independent Scotland.

The EU is going to collapse soon. The banks are insolvent and France and Italy are next.
