Vermont also has, per capita, the country’s largest population of drug addicts, esp. heroin. The Great Liberal Influx of the past 50 years has largely destroyed a once lovely and bucolic state. I assume some of the addicts in VT now were my dorm mates at UMass. I had a friend in VT who told me his doctor used to give him codeine for “the pain.”
The heroin epidemic is horrible in all northeast states, and it’s not your father’s skid row bums. It is in the rich areas, the poor ones, and everywhere in between.
We are spending millions per day to pick them up and pump them full of norcan. Millions of dollars. Every day.
If Trump said he was going to turn some of our drones away from idiots in the Middle East and turn them on the cartel leaders in Mexico, can you imagine the howling.
But there is too much money in the drug trade. Too many people getting rich.
