Report: FDA, Smithsonian, other fed groups gathering war arsenals
CBS NEWS ^

Posted on 06/27/2016 3:37:01 PM PDT by Red in Blue PA

Investigators quickly discovered that the Department of Homeland Security had been providing weapons designed for war to almost any police department, no matter how small, that wanted them.

A new report by American Transparency, a nonpartisan watchdog that compiles data on public expenditures, indicates the militarization of ordinary American life goes well beyond law enforcement and regular citizens.

Their report, titled "The Militarization of America," looked at government expenditures and found that 67 federal agencies during the fiscal years 2006 to 2014 amassed stockpiles of guns, ammunition and military-style equipment to the tune of $1.48 billion.

While it is possible agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs, which spent $11.7 million on military equipment in that time frame, needs to arm its hospitals' security guards, there is a long list of agencies with no obvious need for assault weapons.

Every agency in the Federal alphabet soup can be armed, but not you.

I contracted for a while in DC...From looking at a lot of the bureaucrats that roamed around, if they were armed, they’d likely shoot themselves in the foot trying to figure out how to use the weapon...

I hope we're keeping track of where all these great caches are. When the SHTF, they'll be darned useful.

This is bad on so many levels. And CBS is reporting it.

That’s shocking.

If hitlery wins and the time comes when there are SO MANY reasons to arrest us, they will not come lightly.

Perhaps they will shoot us dead like they did that patriot a few months ago.

Disarming the public = Diffusing the armed services until there is no one left who will not follow orders from a commie.

Get rid of “good generals”.

Arm all unelected agencies.

Grown DHS by giving local municipalities more armaments.

The new one, bring U.N. armored personnel carriers to the US (this is on Drudge now, 6:53pm, 6/27/16).

People are justifiably concerned about the militarization of even unlikely people like IRS agents. The ones I’ve seen are just collecting a check. There is no way they would risk their lives even if ordered. A mobilization of the great civilian army would be the largest sudden use of sick time ever. You can dress up a beta male, but you can’t make a Marine out of him. Nor will he take orders or follow through. I’d take any CCW I know against whatever dressed up bureaucrat you pick at random.

You are probably right. But I doubt they'll be ordered to risk their lives against muslims.

Given the suspicion of the UN outside the urban centers, this is like waving a red cape in front of a bull.

They know something is coming, most likely similar circumstances as Argentina, and if they can’t disarm us then they will arm them better than we can be armed. France made great headway though against a well equipped German army, with nothing near what we currently possess.

I’m thinking that although the weapons were budgeted and bought through these agencies and departments, the actual weapons went someplace else.

It certainly does seem that way, doesn't it. So much coming at us so fast.

Did no one listen to bambi when he was campaigning? He specifically stated that he wanted a “civilian” armed force as strong as the military. Well, he still has his phone and his pen. This is the fault of congress, they are letting this happen and there’s no going back. You may own a gun or many guns, but they will come in numbers You can’t defeat. Unless we get the crimedia on our side we’re screwed!

They are DEMOCRATS! Not just stupid, but actually moronic, in the clinical sense.

How hard can it be to pick up a gun, put on cammies, and shoot mere civilians? They look at a Marine squad, and if they didn't spend $50,000 of borrowed money on an Art History degree, they are too stupid to possibly fight 50 armed clerks from the FDA.

This is the so-called "thinking" that we are dealing with. Sub-sentients who never wonder why STEM grads and the Military are conservative.

Last night someone posted a thread about this, but the mods pulled it down citing “no thanks to conspiracy theories” or something like that.

Every agency in the Federal alphabet soup can be armed, but not you.

Another important item to add to Trump's list when he begins the restoration of our Constitutional Republic.

Getting a priority list will be a real task...

In support of that, I am looking for a book that Rush mentioned today, about the "country class (us peons) vs the "ruling class" (our self-appointed masters)

It’s one thing to dress up and strut around and play soldier. It’s another thing to actually go into neighborhoods and face an armed populace. These alphabet agency people are posturing cowards. They talk big but wouldn’t last 5 seconds in a fight where they didn’t have absolutely overwhelming odds. Fancy military gear or not.
