For some reason the Brits really hate Poles.
I can assure you that’s not the case. Poles have been regarded as friends and allies ever since the sterling contribution UK-based Poles made to the war effort in the Second World War. And the more recent arrival of substantial numbers as EU citizens - usually referred to as the ‘Polish Plumbers’ has brought them new respect as hard-working and skilled contributors to the economy who usually fit in well with local communities. These nasty incidents - and they’ve certainly happened - have been very much the exception.
