What is incredible is that England was the country that formulated the rules for cricket, football (soccer), rugby league, rugby union, tennis and now its ranking in these is: cricket (#4 after Australia, India, Pakistan), soccer (#11), rugby (#3 and #2 respectively) and tennis (top player ranked at #2 (men’s) and #19 (women’s). What went wrong with this nation? They so dominated the world in the 1800s right up to the 1930s and the collapse of the gold standard.

I think it's more of a case where the rest of the world simply caught up. You're seeing the same thing here in the U.S. to a lesser extent.

As living standards in third world countries rise, the odds start to grow in their favor when it comes to excelling in any industry or sport. All other things being equal, you're simply more likely to find dominant athletes among a billion people in China than among 65 million in Great Britain.

“What went wrong with this nation?”

They let women vote. And with that, their MANHOOD was fully stripped away. They dare not fight mass immigration of Muslims, because their (female) masters will jail them. They dare not fight for schools to be agenda-free, or their (female) masters will jail them. And worst of all, the men in Scotland now wear dresses. Pathetic.

That’s my take, at least.
