A suspected car bomb was detonated outside a Perth mosque on Tuesday night as hundreds of worshippers attended a prayer service inside.
No one inside the Thornlie Mosque was injured when the white 4WD exploded shortly after 8pm outside the Thornlie mosque, near the Australian Islamic College in Perths southern suburbs.
Anti-Islamic graffiti was also sprayed on a fence.

Parked it there as they went in to pray before heading over to the airport to blow everyone up. the heat started to detonate the bombs.
Doubt it was heat. Middle of winter here. Probably ably 10 degrees Celsius (50F) at most.
Can’t really see this happening in quiet Thornlie. Maybe Armadale (aka Armahole) or Mirrabooka (aka Mozambooka). Friends and family in Thornlie, Forest Lakes and Canning Vale. This would not happen there.
Saturday is Election Day here. It’s expected that the coalition government (conservatives but called Liberal here) will win. Maybe this is meant to help Labour.
I don’t know the full story, but it is strange that, in this age of security cameras, that there are no photos from outside the mosque. Just about every public building in Australia has them, and many private residences as well.
