You failed your probationary status at our company with your demands that we do anything out of our ordinary to make you fit in or feel better about yourself. This company does not exist for you. Jobs in the real world work the other way around. If you petition the boss with a demand when you do actually have a legitimate job with us, YOU WILL BE FIRED.

Being let go from an internship that pays $0.00 means we just called your college and you no longer get credit for 'helping out' at our place of business.

“Gee, I guess those in charge didn’t realize how ‘thought out and well reasoned’ the snowflakes argument was.......bwahahahahaha!”

I wonder if they got a “Participation Trophy” before they got fired?

They won’t understand; they are emotionally and mentally incapable of understanding.
They will just file a lawsuit for wrongful termination; then appeal the decision until they get a Lib/Prog/Transi/Dem appointed judge to agree with them.

The dress is part of the intern process.

They failed. They’re gone.

Next?

Definitely this intern could have benefited from having held a job before then. Summer work, after school work, whatever. You learn fast and know how to behave by the time you graduate and go on to full-time work. I started hiring myself out to work in the harvest at age 9, babysitting at about age 12, after school office work at age 14, summer full-time work from age 16 on, part-time work during most of my college years. I was very experienced as an employee by the time I graduated.

Maybe they can put a gold star on their resume.

As my mom used to say... Demand in one hand, s#!t in the other...see which one fills up first.

Your MOM used to say that? Wow, what was she, a Drill Instructor?

“We were shocked. The proposal was written professionally like examples I have learned about in school...”

Now you’ve learned that the real world isn’t a college campus.

The reality is that colleges -- the educational institutions that are theoretically supposed to prepare these kids for the real world -- did these students a disservice by treating every petition or pet cause as valid, allowing the inmates to run the asylum. When the students hit the real world, WHAM!

Yeah, and so did the parents who tolerate this kind of crap from their kids. I love to see the faces of the "everyone's-a-winner" generation when they actually have to support themselves. If everyone's a winner, then why did you just get fired? The real world doesn't work the way you were raised...get used to it.

Go do that at MCRD. See what happens. Let me know when and which depot, I’ll see if I can pull some strings so I can be a fly on the wall. I want to see this. I’ll tell the Senior that I’m okay with anything he does, and I didn’t see a damned thing.

Interns ‘petitioning’ to change their work environment.

Well, you’ve learned something. so I guess you have that.

Thats "Special Snowflake" to you!

Back in my intern days, I would get a "Glen Gary, Glen Ross" speech and like it!

California has “employment at will” which means the employer does not even need to give a reason for terminating somebody.

Of course that doesn’t mean former employees won’t try—race, color, age, sexual orientation, physical/mental disabilities might be alleged.

Employers are advised by their HR departments to document, document, warn, document, etc.
