I got a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country, used, around five years ago. I paid around 11K$ and change. It gets around 15 mpg. It would have cost me in the neighborhood of 40K$ to get a new one with 40 mpg. Do the math.

You can probably up it for very little.

Always make sure the tires are at max inflation.

Keep all nonessential weight out of the vehicle.

Change the engine air filter every year.

If you have been needing new tires, get them.

City driving kills mileage, from all the acceleration time killing your mpg. If you can do more hwy it will improve your mpg.
