Matt Drudge was right. They are putting us in ‘digital ghettos’. I recognized this ages ago when individual news sites stopped hosting news forums and comments sections conducted by their own peeps. They either shut comments off altogether, or switched to mandatory login to Disqus, Twitter,or Facebook. We have to be ‘identified’.....thus narrowing down our options to comment anonymously.

The advertisers still control the news media. They still pay the piper LOL!
Whether they tell you what they want you to hear on NBC News or Google News makes no difference.
