Parts of a mutilated body have washed up on the sands of Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro just meters from where beach volleyball athletes will compete in the upcoming Olympics.
The discovery is the latest to unnerve the city as it grapples with rising crime, a recession and exhausted state finances at a time when it hoped to be celebrating the first Olympics ever held in South America.
It was unclear Wednesday afternoon what conditions may have led to the mutilated body but a policeman standing guard by a security perimeter confirmed its existence to Reuters.
IL is not much better off than Brazil. I would not want to be a tax payer in IL if they had got the Olympics.

Someone better take that human jigsaw puzzle and make sure all the parts are there. Do they really want to take the chance that the rest of him will wash ashore during volleyball competition?

Very sad to see the nation humiliated in this manner, I hope the reports I’m hearing are exaggerated.

This will probably be a disaster, but we will never know. Unless it’s too big to cover up.
I forget exactly what website but it showed pictures of half completed structures and subway and walkways. There’s construction stuff laying all over the place. Nothing is really completed and now talk of budgeting crisis for completion. This whole thing is a disaster to the Brazilians.
Another silver lining is that the media shill for Hellery, NBC, is broadcasting it. One can only hope a little local color comes on during a comment by an announcer while she’s praising the witch.
