There’s a parallel to how things were 16 years ago. Most I guess Gore had a lock on environmentalists and people he knew at Harvard, like Hillary has older feminists and Wellesley women, but most Democrats would rather have seen a third Bill Clinton term than an Al Gore presidency. Hillary and Al definitely have people problems, but a lot of it just has to do with Democrat voters wanting to stick with the devil they know.

I think you’ve got it! I do remember that Bill wanted a third term and sent a letter to the Supremes outlining his reasoning. They wrote back, no. He could have been elected again.
