I read the CBS and NYT pieces on this, and somebody correct me if I am wrong, but neither price explained whether the interview was conducted under oath. How would it be possible for there to be something (once) called journalism left in this world if that fact was left out?

Almost certainly not under oath, and certainly with several Hillary lawyers to prevent her answering.
