I think it’s wonderful that he has decided to do away with the usual slate of wanna-be future presidents. We saw what those had to offer during the primaries—nothing. Stick with upbeat, popular personalities closely identified with the average voter. I would love to see Pat Buchanan given a spot, but doubting it will happen. That guy knows how to give a speech.
Buchanan’s voice is too high, and when he gives a speech, his voice settles into a menacing-sounding monotone.
I met Buchanan a couple of years ago, and he said something so insulting and obnoxious I was struck dumb. I wish I had said, “I’ve wanted to meet you for years. I’m sorry to find out you’re such a jerk.”
