Come on. You’ve been on FR long enough to see the posts that drugs are a victimless crime. The guy is being prosecuted for using harmless recreational drugs. Ask any libertarian.

Bull. No libertarian advocates or expresses tolerance for violence against another person. The evil idiot in this case is clearly psychotic. What caused that situation is worth determining. If it was caused by mental illness, then perhaps that fact should be taken into account when determining what to do with the perpetrator. If his mental state was caused by an intentional act on his part, like taking drugs, or drinking, or whatever, then that fact should be taken into account, and it weighs heavily towards a much enhanced prison sentence.

From a libertarian perspective, if a drug was known to be able to create such a state of behavior, then the seller would also be liable for the consequences. That makes sense doesn't it? Of course under our current laws the seller of the drug - legal or illegal - has no such liability.
