I'm thinking Nigel is maneuvering to get an invitation to join the Conservative Party and then play some major role in negotiating the exit from the EU.

He is actually the highest profile leader with the backbone for it.

Michael Gove is a mouse and Theresa May wasn't even for Brexit and has already begun to complain that she doesn't think the UK should slow immigration.
