Full Title:

Woman Facebook live-streams her dying boyfriend seconds after he is shot four times by a cop as his mother says police kept her from her son's deathbed and claims the girlfriend is now missing ===============================================

The devastated mother of a black man who was shot dead by a cop and whose death was live-streamed on Facebook by his girlfriend says she was prevented from seeing him on his deathbed.

Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night, also claimed they have been unable to locate Diamond Reynolds, his girlfriend, since she was arrested by police.

The shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting has sparked protests in Saint Paul, with hundreds of people descending on the Governor of Minnesota's house demanding justice. It is the second controversial police shooting of a black man to emerge in 24 hours.

In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a 'Chinese police officer'.

She claims the cop, from the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, asked Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a Montessori school in St Paul, to show his license, but then shot him four times while he reached for it.

As she talks, she moves the camera across to show Castile, bloody and losing consciousness, and the cop - still pointing his gun, as her young daughter sits in the back seat.

The police officer, who is yet to be identified, been placed on paid leave.

The only time a cop ever pulled a gun out when I got pulled over was when I made that mistake.

I was up against the car spread eagle before I knew what was happening.

I think they perceive getting out and approaching them as hostile now.

“Everyone who has a CCW knows the first thing you do is put both hands on the steering wheel or the dashboard and inform the police officer you have a CCW. It’s the law folks!”

That’s not true in all states. In Arizona, and many other states there is no “Duty to Inform” a law enforcement officer if you’re stopped while carrying a concealed firearm.

I’ve have two LEO contacts while carrying concealed in two different states (Arizona & Tennessee). In both cases I told the officer that I was armed and had my CCW license with me (even though neither AZ nor TN has a duty to inform law). Both times the officers said “no problem” and didn’t even ask me to see my CCW. Both contacts were very positive and nobody got shot...happy endings.

I can only speak for Ohio CCW. But actually, it’s common sense.

I’m still ready to listen for more information. All we have to go by is the woman’s post-shooting video and her claim that this was a traffic stop for a broken taillight.

Sure did seem to be a lot of other police officers with curb-parked cruisers already present on the scene just moments after the shooting with no evidence they were still arriving to an officer-involved shooting.

This is starting to look like a concerted felony stop.

Disturbing video. Hope we get the full story.

I withhold full judgement on these incidents until more is known.

Nevertheless, the woman in the video is obviously traumatized. How terrible to see someone killed in front of you....pray for all involved.

And hope the opportunists are kept at bay.

"Jumpy cops" have no business in the profession. There are plenty of jobs being bread-truck drivers.

A cop drew down on me one time as I rounded a corner while he was searching a suspect's vehicle. He could have easily blown my head off. He would have been put on administrative leave, I'd a been dead, and my wife and daughter would have received a few hundred grand. In the meantime the cop probably would have retired by now making over $100,000 a year for sitting on his fat ass.

The job of an officer is to protect and serve, not pump caps into folks who aren't breaking the law.

Jail for life hopefully. There was no threat to the cop at all. Cop thought he was in the wild Wild West. A disgrace.

That is not what has been shown on video. What was shown on video was the woman SAYING that is what happened.....unless you have seen something else, all I have seen is the aftermath of the shooting.

it wouldn’t surprise me if citizens are expected to lie prone on the pavement for a tail light stop.

Please. Don't give them ideas.

My guess is that the cop didnt hear or believe he had a CCL, so when he moved toward the gun he started firing. That or the witness’ account is false.

What about the video where the cop tells him to show him his ID after he tells the cop he has a concealed carry permit?
