Sen. Ted Cruz, Donald Trump's former chief rival for the GOP nomination, will speak at the Republican National Convention later this month, the Texas senator told reporters after the two met Thursday in Washington.

Cruz told reporters Thursday that the real estate mogul offered his former primary rival a speaking slot during the meeting and Cruz accepted. He added that he and Trump did not discuss an endorsement.

Not to worry, the vile will be out and waiting for Ted Cruz to make one mistake and launch into their horrid endless postings of tearing him up. For some reason I did what I usually will not do and read posts about Sen. Cruz here. It makes me think I am on a democrat site...as I have lost respect for most posters who just spew hate vs. actually have strong intelligent posts that I used to use to fight the conservative fight as FR did for many years.

America, Bless GOD!

I said a long time ago that the two would stand on the podium and show unity and that is how it should be. Trump can’t beat the hidabeast without Cruz supporters just like Cruz could not win without Trump supporters.

I think with the lack of O2 you are missing allot.

Four hikers, all Democrats, have died just a few yards from the Everest Summit. Fortunately for me 3 of them had some oxygen left. So I’m hiking back down, breathing some Dem oxygen, feeling good and posting from my iPad.

I expect to become more rational at about 28,000 feet.

The VP eligibility is the same as the President's due to the 12th Amendment; putting Cruz in either spot weakens the overtly nationalistic NBC requirement to nullity, thus capitulating yet another safeguard to the globalists.

I'm satisfied that his eligibility requirements, from what I've studied, are just fine.

I don’t remember whether Ted ever did let Carter shake his hand. But I remember how he made Carter follow him all over the stage, while staring out at the crowd as though Carter was invisible.

“Cruz has yet to endorse Trump. I assure you he has been shown a man of low honor for this. Particularly since he was a signer of the pledge to endorse support and work to elect the Republican nominee.”

There is no Republican nominee until after the convention. I’m not sure why that isn’t sinking in for you.

If I made a bet on the Superbowl, nobody would expect me to pay off at halftime even if the other team was up by 100 points.

Did Trump offer Cruz the VP spot? There was speculation about that in the beginning? I think Cruz burn that bridge, unfortunately.

A perfect summation of what Trump’s attitude should be towards Lyin’ Ted.

Well, that's a relief that Trump wil pick Lyin' Ted Cruz as his presidential running mate.

Hillary's ads will be screaming, "Do you want Lyin' Ted as your Vice President?"

About time for what?

Obviously Trump has made his apology.

Trump needs allies, even those he profusely insulted are indispensable to his success.

It scarcely matters that Cruz is singlehandedly keeping the divided-convention/nomination chaos movement alive. He’s out there every single day eloquently and powerfully making the case that if the US is to survive, all true conservatives must work together to defeat Hillary. That’s what really matters.
