But he should have been smart enough to accept Trumps offer of the VP spot
That shows bad decision making- it would have (at the time) been great ticket. Its too late for that now without a MAJOR face-saving speech from Trump.
Something along the line of “You never learn anything new if you only listen to people who agree with you all the time. We have had major differences and I value vigorus debate and new points of view, especially in this office- and Cruz has done valuable work in the Senate.. blah blah...”
Did Trump offer Cruz the VP spot? There was speculation about that in the beginning? I think Cruz burn that bridge, unfortunately.
