Numerous officers not moving. Looked like pools of blood near the officers bodies.
I’m no expert but the shooter seemed comfortable with his weapon and shooting someone up close without a second thought.
Military training?
The National Guard might help the police by bringing in a platoon or company of MP’s. Secure the scene. Check ID’s of building occupants that might need to get into their living quarters, say to retrieve pets or the like.

DPD has several Lenco Bearcats and one MRAP, the latter doesn’t ever get deployed because DPD knows that the MRAP costs stupid amounts of money to run and breaks down a lot. Dallas SD has at least one and I think two MRAPs and nothing smaller for armored vehicles. DSD hasn’t figured out why the MRAPs they got for free aren’t a great deal, at least not yet.

This all happened about 3 or 4 blocks from where John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
He was firing from the hip, military training generally frowns on that. Military training is possible but civilian paintballer, videogamer, etc., is also possible.
The Chief is speculating coordination between shooters and marchers.

Common sense. BLM protesters are anti-police. Police were protecting them on their march (where they kept repeating the lie of “hands up don’t shoot”). When the march was about at its end, the snipers opened fire on the police.

If that's true, expect an excrement-storm of misinformation, spin, and propaganda to hit like a hurricane tomorrow.
Expect photo-shopped pictures to make the police look bad. Expect phony "witnesses."
Expect the President to be stirring the pot. Hillary will probably lay low. Trump should play this low and slow until hard facts emerge.
