I agree, as far as usual MO goes. This one looks like a revenge act against police, and given the recent news, the revenge would be coming from "elements in the black community." But, if I was a thinking person in ISIS, and wanted to hide my motive, I'd do attacks that naturally attached to other elements of the society I am trying to disrupt.

Occam's razor says BLM revenge.

The Democrats want to manage the resentment just like Republicans want to manage resentment over federal control of land and the Oregon Standoff earlier this year.

But they want to avoid violence that would cause a backlash from the other side.

As long as the narrative is black people shot by cops and they are victims with Democrat politicians holding the hands of the family members, the Democrats can win and keep their vote together.

But when the narrative changes to mass killings of police like tonight in Dallas the Democrats begin to lose with whites angry and determined and non-whites stunned and taken aback.
