The Hispanics I've known and worked with have no love or solidarity with homey, especially Mexicans. I'm in the process of filing a fire arms application myself.

I knew a Haitian guy who was here (probably illegally) working his butt off at every job he could get. He would not let his kids come over until they were fully adult. He did not want “the locals” to have any influence on them during their formative years. That has to tell you something.
