A TOW shot down a helicopter? Must have been flying real low.
Maybe a blowpipe (British) or other type weapon.
But all the same, American weapons being used to shoot down
Russians, is insanity.
Fortunately we have a Nobel Peace Prize winner as president...
A few years back ISIS captured a large quantity of US made weapons from the Iraqi Army.
Understand your sentiment but Russian weapons have been shooting down Americans since the 1950's. This is what happens when a country decides to put its own troops into harms way. Until now the one time Russian forces were directly and overtly (they still won't admit what they're doing in the Ukraine) involved in conflict outside their own territory, the now independent Soviet republics, or a Warsaw Pact "neighbor" was Afghanistan. That experience put them right off foreign adventures for around thirty years. We'll have to see whether this Syria operation has a similarly discouraging outcome for them.
What about all those manpads McCraine gave them
