The black Army veteran who killed five Dallas police officers may have been making himself fit for combat in preparation for the attack, according to a report.
Micah X. Johnson, 25, had been spotted by one neighboring family conducting what looked like military training exercises in his suburban Dallas yard leading up to the shooting, The Dallas Morning News reported.

I find the term “black Army Veteran” offensive. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth of REAL Military VETERANS and their families.
He DISGRACED himself and the Army, and could have been less than honorably discharged, but he ‘waived’ his rights to a hearing for a charge to a lesser offense. BESIDES the BLM militant stuff he was involved in.
In May 2014, during his deployment, he was accused of sexual harassment by a female soldier, who sought a restraining order against him and said that he needed mental health counseling. After the Army initiated proceedings to dishonorably discharge him, Johnson, at the advice of his lawyer, waived his right to a hearing in exchange for a lesser charge. He was sent back to the U.S. with an Army recommendation of other than honorable discharge, considered by his lawyer to be a “highly unusual” decision. However, Johnson was instead honorably discharged in September 2014

The media once again likes to ‘embellish’ the story by calling this murdering pos a “sniper”, similar to how they like to call every firearm a “high powered assault weapon”.
I don’t think the guy in denver is same guy as dallas shooter. Ears and nose are different.
It seems that Pam Geller is stretching to make a connection.
Reports say that the name Fahed Hassen was on Johnson’s Facebook page. The Geller makes the leap that Johnson resembles Fahed of Hassen and, thus, they are the same person.
That does NOT seem to be what the reports say. The reports only say that the name Hassen (and the name Professor Griff] were on the Facebook page, not that Hassen and Johnson are one in the same.

This is the type of news I detest and is why in the old days folks used to pretty routinely say “Don’t believe what you read in the papers.”
I’ve heard the “military exercise” claim over and over without ANY elaboration as to what exactly that was.
Was he charging canvas dolls stuffed w/straw with a bayonet or something?
Or, more likely, did the neighbors just say this because they got sucked in by the reporter. For all we know, the guy was doing push ups.
Sometimes folks are puffed up by their perceived 15 minutes of fame and exaggerate, if not entirely make up something, to sound like some sort of expert.
Since there is no elaboration to what the “exercises” were, I can only conclude that the statement is b.s., or the reporter added the word “military” themselves.
So, if the guy goes jogging, gets back home and does a bit of running in place before coming to a complete stop, what is only “exercise” becomes something more nefarious, thanks the the f’d up news we have today.
Note, I’m not trying to defend the killer, I just have a pet peeve over this type of reporting and how it sucks so many in as “fact”. Like the “had an AR-15” claim that comes up story to story.
