A lot of great points in today’s speech. Making “safety” such a central foundation of his campaign is an excellent idea. So many of his positions tie in with it so well. Securing the border is about safety; reforming our refugee and immigration system is about safety; fighting terrorists is about safety; supporting cops (but also opposing actual police misconduct) is about safety.
Trump was publicly taking a hardline on crime even in the 1980s and devoted a chapter to it in his 2000 book The America We Deserve (maybe the best chapter in the book really), so I’m glad that this is becoming a bigger part of his message.
I thought the things he said about Hillary were expressed very well. I hope he uses a lot of that material again in the future.

The 3 people in custody were 2 men, and a woman.
The 2 men were spotted placing a camouflage bag into a Mercedes Benz. They were stopped and held for questioning. They refused to cooperate. I heard during a news report, or press conference that they had been released.
The woman was found near the shooter’s position at the parking garage. She was taken into custody, and also refused to cooperate.
I do not know her status, meaning- whether she is still being held or has since been released.

Great descriptive- of your take on Trump’s veteran centered policy speech today. He judiciously wove the nation’s real time pulse into the speech, without veering off topic in a harmful manner, and gave HRC, several brutal blows to the midsection, in the rather solemn process. I score it an 8.5 out of a possible 10.
Guessing- time passed and they cooperated enough to prove their innocence. Probably some hardcore BLM types. They likely could not care less for the loss of the lives of 5 cops, especially 5 dead white cops.

DJT is the definition of SUCCESS, and his picture can be found in the dictionary at the definition of the word- success. He is only going to hire and keep the brightest and best, whatever their discipline or talent.
Voters would do well to grasp this skill or quality.
Take the VP selection for example- this person is not going to be some placeholder or figurehead. They had better be prepared to work 12-16 hours a day for at least the first 100 days. Trump will not be found on a single golf course in his entire term. He will be forced to take a vacation, probably by his staff imploring his family to put pressure on him to take some time off. It’s not in his DNA. EVER!
This will be the most productive presidency in our history.
AS of today- the GOP Convention Rules Committee “gathering” is underway.
The GOP Convention speaker lineup is to be announced in a day or two.
The GOP VP selection announcement may happen yet this week.
DJT has made mention of announcing his VP selection during the convention, so this announcement may happen as Mr. Trump has said it would- sometime next week.

Heard tonight on Chris Matthews’ Hardball that Trump may speak at the NAACP Convention next Wednesday (apparently an invitation has been extended yet not accepted).
This would be the day before he accepts the GOP nomination.
