Any insights into Trump’s Veterans policy speech? I would like to see the Trump Administration name Rick Santorum to run the VA. I believe his dad was in charge of the VA once and I think Santorum would do a good job overhauling the system for the better.

I relocated from Illinois, to Arizona, and went to the VA in Phoenix. The hospital was the notorious Carl Hayden VA Hospital.
I went in for an initial consultation in January. I was told that I would have to see a doctor for him to make a consultation, to see a specialist. I had a detached tibial posterior tendon. I wanted to see a podiatrist. I was told that the soonest that I could get in was in May. THAT was just for the general practitioner, that would be recommending the specialist. I also told them that I had had a heart attack, received a pacemaker, and a stent...
I said to hell with them and went hiking instead.
I also paid out of my own pocket to see a private podiatrist- which is why I knew what was wrong with my foot.
I have not been back since, and they likely have ruled me deceased. The Phoenix VA, is notoriously known for putting people on waiting lists for so long, that many veterans died waiting for treatment. Few, if any, scum union employees lost their jobs, even though many were pencil whipping the waiting and visitation lists, in order to funnel veterans through the system administratively, in order to win bonuses.
It’s beyond a travesty- it’s criminal!

The VA is just one more failed government entity that is filled with money grubbers out for a sweet pension.
