I don’t care. I wouldn’t go to Chicago , much less live there . What a rat hole.
We lived there 5 years ago....downtown by the Water Tower and the Ritz.....absolutely a beautiful city....tree lined streets, flowers everywhere, well kept, safe enough to go walking every night.......gorgeous are of the city. We moved the month after the Gov. raised the state income tax OVERNIGHT by 66%!!! I would NEVER move back there now.

What a difference 65+ years has made...As a kid I could take a bus,or the “L’ for a quarter and spend all day in the museums....,art,science,natural history,aquarium,planetarium and no one worried....Just saying..it WAS a great place ‘ONCE UPON A TIME !!!!
Unfortunately, my daughter drank the kool-ade on living in cities instead of those "evil" suburbs; and, so, she lives in Chicago. In a few months, hubby and I are going to have to go to Chicago for her wedding. I am looking forward to seeing her marry a wonderful guy; but, I am dreading having to go anywhere near that hell hole.
