I have always liked Mike Pence. He is a well spoken conservative. He’s a class act. But Indiana is in the bag for Trump. Since this is the electoral college, it will likely only come down to a couple of states. You know the usual 10 or so states that are always a toss up. So shouldn’t the Donald pick someone from Ohio or Florida or Pennsylvania or Virginia or Colorado or one of the other confused states. What do y’all think. Any validity to that argument. I don’t know who to suggest, just thinking out loud.

Good post.

It’s always a question of what the VP brings. First question is “can they bring a state’s electoral votes.”

Lately, that’s been not the case. I think LBJ and Texas was the last real use of that strategy.

Much more, lately, the VP pick has been to unite the party; to bring in those factions that were at war with the nominee. E.g.: Reagan/Bush; Romney/Ryan, Gore/Lieberman, McCain/Palin.

I think this may be another one of those situations.
