Hi StoneWall! 56 degrees here. Son and his wife and children were in St Louis (got home early this morning) for grandson’s appt. with the clubfoot dr. I took the opportunity to scrub floors, clean the bathroom and bake!
It sounds like Trump may have asked Mike Pence to be his running mate. I was hoping for Newt, but I really like Pence. I approve! I do hope he taps Newt as an advisor though.

No Newt for VP,but some prominent role in the Trump (please let it be so Father God!). When he is good , he is good and when he is not , he is sitting on a couch with Nancy Pelosi.
Strange local story via Facebook. Woman was driving and three men in a minivan attempted an abduction. She drove her SUV over the median to get away. Called cops. She was told they were too busy to investigate..even with a handprint on her car door.
So my question: I support our cops. But if our towns are ever beset with refugees and we are attacked or harassed like twin falls Idaho or linden hills in Minnesota, will they be there for us?
Tomorrow the world court of the Hague will make it’s ruling, on the Island dispute. In the South China sea it should be interesting. Personally I think the ruling will be in favor of China. As to appse them

Newt regrets the whole incident with Nancy. Wasn’t that all about global warming? He acknowledged that he was wrong. As for Pence. I was impressed with his speech at Hillsdale College several years ago. He spoke on the Constitution and the Presidency. He looked very “George Washington-ish”! The video (from 2010) is on YouTube:

Grandson may now be out of his braces for nine hours a day. Hopefully, after the next checkup, he will wear them only when he’s sleeping. His feet are looking good! Thank goodness, the days of surgery to correct club feet are gone - at least in this country!

I know Newt came clean and I actually like him. I had the contract with America on my refrigerator back in the day! Here’s my concern: he is very intelligent. His speeches are great. I can understand when one is in his/her 20’s ascribing to a liberal cause. I was like that myself. But when one is a seasoned adult? The thought is always can it happen again should the prevailing winds blow liberal? Right now, it is a conservative wind storm and he is harassing it. Just my opinion!!!

Got a housefull for a while long story but Grandkids are with us and that is good. What a circus at times!!
Grandkids are a balm to the soul!! Well, at least that is what I am hoping for if The Lord so blessed us!!!
