House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin will offer a 10-minute address at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next week, becoming the newest high-profile name added to the roster of speakers often at odds with the party's presumptive presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
"I want to talk about our ideas, our solutions and how our party should unite…Our agenda, our solutions and how we ought to unite around our common principles and how we apply those principles to problems," Ryan told Politico.
Ryan tacitly acknowledged the division between Trump and the mainstream of the Republican party — or at least the version of the party Ryan would like to see — saying he would tout the party's adopted agenda in his speech as a way to unify the GOP ahead of tough 2016 races.

Remember, the “DADDY WARBUCKS” GOPe will tell you what to think, do and say. Republican zombies are welcome at the so-called convention but true patriots and conservatives are the “unwashed” and are unwelcome.

I’m always suspect when politicians & journalists start generalizing. It’s usually just a smokescreen to hide their own agenda.

So I think I’ll be browsing FR when Ryan makes his speech.
Just can’t listen to his lies any longer. He twists with the best of them and I imagine his coaching in this style of bs is paying off, for them.
I detest the little out of touch fraud.
His timeslot will be 3am Eastern on Friday (after the convention closes). His audience will be the balloon popper/clean-up crew.
What principles - open borders, more immigrants, more spending and debt?
I assume he’ll be endorsing Hillary during the speech. Or maybe just advocated for “votes of conscience” no matter what voters want.
