Donald Trump talks about the Bowe Bergdahl trade and why he is not only opposed to closing Guantanamo Bay, but wants to add more terrorists caught on the battle field to the U.S. military prison. Trump called Bergdahl the "five-for-one" traitor. Trump spoke Monday night at a campaign rally in Westfield, Indiana where he was introduced by Gov. Mike Pence, a potential choice for Vice President.
"He deserted," Trump said of Bergdahl, after describing the trade President Obama made to have him returned to the U.S. "Remember the old day, a deserter, what happened? Bang. 20 years ago, it was bang, but slowly. Ten years ago it was long prison. Today they are probably talking about nothing. That is where we've come. But I call him the five-for-one."
"So we get Bergdahl, right, a traitor. And they get five of the most vicious killers that they have, that they've been after for nine years to get them out and they bring them and they are back on the battlefield trying to kill everybody, including us," Trump said.
"This stuff is going to stop, folks. And Gitmo, we're not closing Gitmo. We're going to fill it up. We're not closing Gitmo. We're not closing Gitmo," Trump said to applause.

Hillary just clams up and basks in the black vote.
My man!!
With Obama Admin and Czars ?
Cut off all federal funds for non compliance with federal laws, and watch the turnaround.
Ahhhh. It’s so refreshing to hear common sense and clear thinking espoused. Go Trump!!
OK so what battlefield is President Trump planning on starting up?
We have troops all over the Middle East trying to control the mess that Hillary and Obama started.
Over the last few decades, the main game plan of the libs is to push the envelope in all directions, knowing that the law and those who support it are reluctant to make quick moves to curtail.
It is now obvious that pushback must be done, and is the only way, because simply talking sense to them is insufficient, they don't care, they want what they want, and will push and shove, lie, cheat an steal to get it.
There are plenty already underway without the need for additional new ones.
Yeah but they aren't on the front line directly engaged in the fighting so they aren't likely to be taking prisoners. Neither are the special ops folks in the region in much of a position to be taking captives. So fill Gitmo up with who?
He isn’t “starting up” any battlefield. He doesn’t have to do that—the battlefield already exists.
Our streets, clubs, schools, and churches are the field of battle.
The Orlando homosexual bar, the Dallas Police station, Vaughan Foods in Moore Oklahoma, the Inland Regional Center in San Bernadino, downtown Manhattan, Times Square, any given American embassy, our ally Israel....everywhere there are Western Christian values of liberty there is a battlefield.
Obama’s retreat from the middle east—leaving a vacuum of power in Iraq, his enthusiastic support of the mullahs in Iran, his encouraging of the Muslim Brotherhood has emboldened the enemy to bring the battle even closer to every single American within the ever porous borders of the nation.
So the battlefield is here. Now.
Time for someone to fight back.
Trump has said that he is going to form a coalition to take our ISIS and that means Raqqa...and that means prisoners.
He's tried very hard with one of them: Fundamentally transforming the United States. And he's damned near success. Fortunately, the clock's running out on him.
That can work two ways, though. Like local gun laws less restrictive than federal statutes, for instance. Or laws sanctioning acting out of "protected" perversions.
Need to rinse out the house and senate as well.
Wouldn't putting U.S. citizens in Gitmo be illegal?
A good reminder that Obama’s # 1 campaign promise 8 years ago was to close Gitmo.
