Rick Perry: Trump's border wall is 'not' going to happen
Washington Examiner ^ | 7/11/16 | Kelly Cohen

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry suggested Monday that the physical wall Donald Trump wants to build along the U.S.-Mexico border is an idea that will never become a reality. "I'm for Donald Trump, and he says we're going to build a wall, the Mexicans are gonna pay for it," Perry, a Trump backer, told Snapchat's Peter Hamby on "Good Luck America."

Hamby responded, "It's not going to happen."

"Well, it's not," Perry replied, suggesting that there might be other ways to keep out immigrants besides an actual wall.

And the Berlin Wall was never going to come down or Britain leave the EU.

Lots of Texas border towns that depend on Mexicans crossing daily to buy stuff. Over 4 million Border Crossing Cards (BCC) have been issued to Mexicans to enter the US daily. The border states like Texas and AZ see as a wall as discouraging trade hurting them economically.\

Wait, if they have a BCC, then why not just cross at the border crossings...

They should not be crossing at illegal locations should they?

Rather than a wall....we liberate the good people of Mexico from their corrupt leadership.
That is after we begin to liberate ourselves in November of our corrupt leaders.

A physical wall isn't really the issue. What is needed is the enforcement of existing laws covering immigration, travel (visa), green cards, etc.

Cut off federal funds to sanctuary cities & states like Calif which allow illegals to have driver licenses. Enforce employer penalties for non-SS compliance via e-verify. Eliminate funding for schools that allow enrollment of illegals. Terminate welfare and other support for illegals. Arrest & deport those with visa over stays.

Just these measures alone will create a flow of illegals out of the country, and make other potential violators think twice about breaking the law.

It is the flagrant disregard for law that leads to the situation we have at hand. Serious enforcement of the endless multitude of existing immigration laws is all that is really required.

translation he has donors who pay him to keep any wall from being built.

politicians need (desperately) an open border of free flowing illegals.

Perry is, and always will be, a illegal loving, liberal republican, asshat.

Remember what sank his 2004 campaign—when he said anybody who doesn’t think that children of illegals should get in-state tuition college breaks “doesn’t have a heart”

Let's see......

1) Trump's not going to run.
2) Trump's going to drop out after the first debate.
3) Trump is finished after South Carolina.
4) Trump will be finished after Florida.
5) No way Trump gets to 1,237.
6) Trump's not going to win the Republican nomination.
7) No way Trump beats Hillary.

How much crap are they going to spew?

The Mexican drug cartels could easily be made to pay for the wall. Perry is being a dupe of the Progressives (Marxists/Globalists) again, like with his mandatory vaccination scheme.

He just slips into fascist irrational “thinking” at times, or he is being manipulated by the psychopathic elites.....(MSM—all about the right perceptions).

The USA certainly has the power to shut the borders up immediately and ship millions “home” if they wanted to. That power has been here forever-—but is not the globalist “plan” for the One World government scheme of totalitarianism and no nations. They need identities and all Traditions and loyalty to family destroyed to usher in their happy idiots who know nothing but slavery and are delighted with crumbs from the elites.

physical wall:

I’ve said this before but the physical wall (any wall very difficult to cross) is preferable to any deterrent where people are able to cross into America and then be caught and returned to Mexico.

The expense of having people to catch them, and then hold them, and then return them to a place where human rights people won’t consider inhuman — that is gonna be very expensive not to mention leaky.

Like hundreds of people haven’t been thinking about this for years. Let’s hear your new ideas, Rick.

I doubt that any of those other candidates you mentioned love LaRaza as much as Ricardo Perry. Pence, even big lib Christie and two-faced Newt are better than LaRaza Ricky. Just say no to big globalists!

Mexican drug cartels makes tens of billions of dollars every year from the US market. Yep, billion with a “b”.

How often do we hear about US politicians discovered being on the take from Mexican drug cartels? Never?

That means politicians of both parties are in on the racket and there is no incentive to upset the little arrangement.

We don't even need a wall. Fortified electric fences like along the India-Pakistan border and armed guards would do be fine.

The point I was making was that there is an economic incentive to keep the borders open as much as possible and that any perception of discouraging entry of Mexicans could have an economic impact. There is no doubt that illegal aliens are entering as well and also are part of the border economy. The number of BCCs is indicative of that activity.

I unreservedly support a secure border, including physical barriers that act as a force multiplier. Texas politicians are not good on the border issue. It was Kay Bailey Hutchinson that added the amendment that neutered the Secure Fence Act of 2006. Mike McCaul and Pete Sessions are also bad on this issue. Lamar Smith is among the best.
