If you ever have to actually use your firearm; immediately shut up, and lawyer-up. You have the right to remain silent...

Being the Chronicle, I’m surprised they didn’t just report that the customer shot the poor perp without reason. To include that the customer feared for his wife’s life is a detail I wouldn’t expect from this rag.

What an idiot. I have seen many Waffle House locations with cop cars in the lot. Kinda like targeting a donut store.

Police said the customer called to Cooper once they were outside. Cooper pointed the AK-47 in the customer's direction, prompting the customer to shoot Cooper several times, according to police in the southern Dallas suburb. Cooper was then transported to a local hospital where he remained Wednesday on life support, police said. The customer was not arrested. The investigation is ongoing. Had one round from an M79 been used on him, one round to Cooper's gut and the trash men, would still be moping up the remains of Cooper's guts.

My kids have a couple of those variants of the AK.
I prefer my AK that I keep in my pocket for conceal carry and my AK that I use in a pool. That AK can shoot water a long distance.

“Fearing for his wife’s safety...” That’s a good excuse for doing the right thing.

Guessing that the taxpayers of Texas are now paying to keep him alive.

...shot by a customer with a licensed handgun. Handguns aren't aren't licensed. Gun carriers are licensed (sadly).

I prefer the AR-15 myself. It's even got a bayonet thingie where I can attach my Swiss Army knife, and you know how deadly swiss steel is.

Don’t give the ambulance chasers any ideas. I’m guessing some have already contacted his family about a lawsuit over the “violation” of his HIPAA rights.
