Mike Pence (’Pentz’) belongs to the TEA party. He’s only 56, thereabouts. Distaff grandfather was an Irish immigrant. Raised Roman Catholic, now evangelical.
He actually ran against Boehner in 2006 as House minority leader.
He was a good, solid conservative rep here in district 16 and has been a good governor.
He’s safe as houses. “Boring”? We’ve had 8 years of people full of themselves. Pence is no showboat. He gets things done.

Trump is going to be busy the first year rescinding a lot of BS, righting the ship of state. He needs someone he can rely one, not some loose cannon or political re-tread.

I can’t say how I know, but you have my word as a long time FReeper that this is true. The family wants Pence as a party uniter, a steady hand at the wheel, and an experienced insider. Trump wants Christie to rag doll Hillary.
Also, he has many views which are the antithesis of Trump's!
