Breitbart ^ | 13 Jul 2016 | Michelle Moons

Trump-resistant and election battling Republicans including two former Presidents, two former Republican nominees, and several former 2016 presidential hopefuls are offering up excuses for why they will not attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next week, notably among them a break with a history of former Presidents attending their party’s convention.

Here are ten of the most prominent Republicans who say they’ll skip out on the convention and a few more who will or maybe won’t.

Hey, I ain't going either.

Top Republicans? Really? If they are so on top, why ain't they accepting the nomination for themselves?

The Bushes had skin in the game but JEB got beat bad and blood is thick but McCain? Graham? These are top Republicans? As if. Both are probably long shots to ever get elected again.

No kidding. Extensive 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his legs requiring skin grafts. Prayers up for a speedy recovery for Gov. Abbott.

Maybe he couldn’t find a crap-proof dog crate for the top of his car on such short notice.

Oh, no, wait we don't. They stayed home. Thanks, RINOs!

All the “right people” will stay away. Their absence will make for a better, more celebratory convention without all these losers and “conservatives of convenience” pouting in front of the cameras.

It’s very sad that it’s come to this, that a small group has chosen to cocoon, and then divorce itself from the newest, freshest portion of the conservative party. I used to think so highly of the Bush Family. Now, they seem to have become an albatross, a heavy weight pulling us down to passive immobility. They will be missing out on the growth of a new and vibrant republican party. Eventually, they will come around, after a successful November.

Bunch of sore loosers - look like cry-babies

But this is a good thing - pretty much assures they won’t be getting any positions in the Trump Administration - They’re putting themselves on the fringe of extinction...

This is a great start to cleaning house

Didn’t they all sign a contract promising to support the nominee and berate Trump into joining them?

I don't see any top repubs on that list, far from it.

More like low life weasels with a severe case of the cramps because their stinking Shiite has been exposed for what it is.

Bush may have attended in 2008 and 2012, but the G O P did a good job of hiding him!

How does Kasich rationalize not attending the RNC in his own state?

plus GHW Bush had entered a stage of dementia...I think the same stage that SC Judge Ginsberg has entered...so both of them can be over looked...but as a supporter of GWB, He can not be over looked and he will never have my support...again.

Sent him a message to stop asking for donations to his LieBarry also...He failed all who supported him....

10 Republicans... and not a consistent conservative among 'em.

The party, in a nutshell.
