No surprise.

He wants to win, and win Pence’s state and the surrounding states.

Evangelicals will have a problem with him going wobbly on the gay wedding/pizza shop case.

But they seem to have a problem with Trump anyway.
And they sure as heck aren’t voting for Hillary.

He wants to win, and win Pence’s state and the surrounding states.

It won't help with Illinois, due to Chicago. Pence is unique because he has both executive and congressional experience. He has also been a talk radio host, is younger but still mature, and has no skeletons that anyone's been able to find.

The heartland has been Trump's weakest area, and Pence certainly doesn't hurt there. Gingrich and Christie have both earned roles in a Trump admin.

Just in: I heard Mark Belling state he's voting for Trump on the Rush Limbaugh show.

Yep that went into the Trump calculus. Ohio and PA, and likely Wisconsin.

I agree. Best option he had, except for maybe a Walker or Santorum in the Rust Belt.
