If so, I apologize. It happens to be a sore spot for me.

Well, I am not sure, and I also apologize. I can't speak for lipstripper, but that is how is I understood it. But I have no idea. It's actually pretty stupid to come in and try to make peace on the Internet when you don't know the people, can't see their faces, and are not really sure what is going on. LOL! :)

What happened to you or your family, if I may ask? If you don't feel comfortable in public, please FReepmail me.

I am sorry that I hurt your feelings. I may be wrong, but with the year in your Freeper name, I guess that something horrible happened to someone you loved in WWII.

Prayers for you tonight, FRiend. :)

Thanks for your interest. My mother and grandmother made it out of Europe through Lisbon in 1940. A few years ago when I chose my screen name, I had recently worked on a project to reconstruct the details of their journey.

So many others were not so fortunate. I’m now at work ghost-writing a Holocaust memoir and have learned the detailed history of a particular village is west Ukraine. I can assure libstripper that the people of this town tried very hard to stay alive, though in the end my subject was among the just five percentage them who did. Nobody marched themselves to the zyklon.
