France has the same problem Russia does. Their “Mexicans’ are moslems to the south, living in that nations historic range.
At least we get some decent food outta the deal.
I see parallels, but ever since the Czarist empire, Russian-controlled territories had Muslims, but Russia and even to the USSR’s credit, both dealt with Islam internally rather well. France has just let Muslims pour in from lands that were not their sovereign land. Even for as much as I don’t like Putin, more western leaders need to do to Islamic terrorists what Putin did in Chechnya.
