Hey Dingus, I have spent years in Muslim countries. I already told you, and you can look for yourself, women were out for the Gezi Park protests in that same city of Istanbul. They were out for the Arab Spring in Cairo, and the Green Revolution in Iran. They were conspicuously absent last night.
Sure anyone could come out, and many did - but the ones confronting the Army and seizing tanks, and cutting the heads off of captured soldiers, did not appear to be Joe six-pack or the corner shopkeeper. The AKP had some goon squads that they could call out.
I was hoping that another poster would have more detailed knowledge about their organizations, but instead I got you - with nothing but unsubstantiated opinion, and bigoted stereotypes about muslim countries.
