We are heading for a politics in which the divisions are no longer just left and right, at least not in the sense we’ve used those terms for the past few decades. The shift is splitting all current movements into nationalist and internationalist wings – or perhaps populist and establishment, middle class and upper class, or urban and provincial.

FYI ping!

Complacent?

They are very ACTIVE.

Actively encouraging open borders, one world LGBT government while (oddly) allowing in Muslims to murder westerners.

>>Complacent?

Complacent in the sense that both parties have their plantation voters that they now choose to betray because , “where else will you go?”

“Believing that a country’s foreign policy should primarily benefit that country’s citizens is now akin to revealing some perverted fetish.”

The US State Department is probably the USA’s most persistent enemy...

They keep saying we need to be on the “right side of history”. None of these current politicians will be looked at as anything more than perverse, self-centered, cowardly parasites to a future moral civilization.

Imo, we, the citzenry, are to blame for all our ills.

We choose to sit on our hands and limit ourselves to nothing more than useless whining while those who installed themselves as our new aristocracy ran rampant over everything that matters.

It's like a doctor who's a total screw-up and can't cure anything, suddenly deciding to make the argument that disease is good and that trying to stay healthy is a stupid, pointless, uneducated pastime.

Thank you. I’ve been saying that for decades. There is no greater enemy of traditional America than those s***eating Yalies at State.

Hillary Clinton was chums with and wrote her thesis on Saul Alinsky. It's reflected in the ads she is currently running.

After 8 years of Obama, this has to end!

It may be our predicament, but it’s not new. I found the article lacking in substance and quite scary with idle and not wholly thought out theories.

I don’t see a complacent elite. I see a very active elite growing into the role of an aristocracy and allowing certain societal problems to fester because it servers their interest.

To say they are complacent is to imply they need to do more, and more to them is pushing social and globalism — which is a fancy name for world wide socialism.

I don’t mind globalism, just as long as we’re the ones doing the globalization. Not the Muslims, which the so-called elite are more than willing to ignore.

The Catholic Church is killing itself with socialist and communist gobblygook like this.

“How did this mushy consensus come about? That’s a difficult question. One thing’s for certain: The political elite misread the fall of communism. They thought, as the American political scientist Francis Fukuyama did, that history had ended, and that at the climax of this great Hegelian unfolding was a Western liberal democracy that would never die.

“This bred arrogant complacency – the belief that you could sit back, relax and think only about small matters like tax rates. Why worry about immigration? After all, history was over. We had won. The little people would soon see how glorious the future would be.

“Meanwhile, globalisation had already begun to destroy many traditional communities, jobs and ways of life. And when these forgotten men and women looked to their leaders for help, they found only laughter and scorn. After 25 years of that, what did they expect?”

...and now they are on the receiving end of revolution.

And they have been for over 100 years. Infested with left leaning One Worlders and CFR and Tri-Lateral sympathizers. They never got over the demise of the "League of Nations".

No doubt that lefties believe in the items in this list, but Alinsky didn’t write it.

Mr. Trump uses these words instead: “Make America Great Again” or MAGA.
