Maybe it wasn’t a coup. Maybe it was a purge that met resistance. And maybe that resistance was anticipated and exploited so as to eliminate all political opposition and consolidate Erdogan's totalitarian radical Islamist rule.

After a few months he had identified his ideological opponents and then cracked down on them and tossed them into the laogai system. Maybe Ergodan is doing the same thing.
