As an aside, why is it OK for Obama to ban any flights from Turkey, yet he claims it wouldn’t be ‘american’ if we banned undocumented/unvetted jihadi terrorists from flying in to the US ?

Russia is punishing the turkeys by banning travel there, reducing much needed tourist dollars.

If this is barkies favor, it is a double edged sword.

Worse yet Obama has remained silent while Erdogan holds our men and women hostage in Incirlik Air Base as a tool for hampering the United States.

It is unfortunate that the Military Coup didn’t prevail as it is certain that Erdogan will continue and massively speed up his drive to more Islamification of Turkey.

It looks like there are several competing narratives about Turkey.

Just to review:

(1) The US airbase has had power cut and the airmen are de factor hostages of Erdogan, while the administration tries to cover it up.
(2) The US and other foreign countries instigated the coup against Erdogan, while the administration tries to cover it up.
(3) Erdogan instituted the coup as a false flag to strengthen his hold on Turkey, while the administration tries to cover it up.
(4) (pick one), while the administration tries to cover it up.

The one thing we can be certain of—whatever the White House says they are lying.
