His problem was that Newt Gingrich and the Contract for America stopped him cold in his tracks.

Not True

Exit polls showed the vast majority who voted for the GOP in 94 never even heard of the Contract ( Which was a good thing in itself )

As much as NEWT and his fans would like to think he engineered the GOP win it was Really a GRASSROOTS EVENT

Gun Owners and the Christian Right were the reason

Bubba even admitted in one of his speeches that the Brady Bill and so called ASW Ban cost him the house

And the Christian right angered by his homosexual in the military Abortion stand etc etc deserted the democrats and went over to the GOP

To this day Newt still thinks he was responsible

Somebody was sitting in Congress opposing Clinton. It wasn’t grass roots gun owners and the religious right. It was the politicians they elected.

That is what I am talking about. I remember like YESTERDAY how Bill Clinton got off his communist agenda to CO-OP the Contract with America to make it sound like his idea. Since Gingrich’s Congress was going to reform welfare by reducing the time welfare queens could collect it and making them look for jobs, Bill Clinton tried to take credit for that and make it look like his idea.

I don’t know what you are trying to say because it was the Republican Congress that stopped Hillarycare and the rest of the things Bill Clinton tried to do politically and failed, that Obama has succeeded at.

So don’t tell me it is not true. It was true.
