INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Shortly after being officially introduced as Donald Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was trending on Twitter — but it had nothing to do with politics.
Pence posted a photo of his family eating at a Chili’s restaurant in New York, prompting a storm of tweets.

Sorry, but I’m with the left here. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to eat at a national chain joint in New York City.
I love the Pence pick, but the guy is TOTALLY CLUELESS if he needs to go to a ‘safe place’ to eat, when in that city.
I like Chili’s.

Went to stage door deli. They won’t sell half a sandwich. Took a doggie bag with half a brisket. Homeless guy: “Can i have 5 bucks for food?” Me: No, but you can have this sandwich.” What is it?” Brisket.” “HG: Sorry, I’m a vegetarian.”

That’s because, well, EVERYBODY knows where to go in NYC! Except for the millions of us who will only set foot there, reluctantly, on business. If at all.
I’d have eaten at McD’s, but I guess I’m both clueless and CHEAP.
Being a Midwesterner, I am glad to know he is not going elitist on us. He will have plenty of white tie dinners, once he wins ;)
I bet that outside of “the lost states” of NY and CA, there are more blue-collar Dems who can identify with Chili’s that who can’t.
We are going to steal their lunch this election.
New Yorkers call them “dirty water” hot dogs and I don’t eat them either. In fact, I don’t buy anything off a cart in NYC. There are many decent food trucks and you can check out the reviews online. On principle, I don’t go to any Halal food trucks.
