Oh, my, it looks like the Globe readers are complete idiots.

Why Boston is a second rate town and has been since the mid 1800's. I hate visiting there. Rude people, bad drivers, middling restaurants and crappy weather.

I was born and raised in Boston and I drive through the area regularly as I work near whatever the ‘center of town’ is considered to be.

Second rate indeed. It is a dump. The traffic is horrible, the roads forever in disrepair. Political corruption is beyond prevalent and the obligations imposed upon the citizens are completely unsustainable. It will crash.

I hate it here, but I can't leave, because I have family and promises to keep.

I am also an extremely aggressive driver, but mostly a nice guy..
